THIS BLOG IS ABOUT HOW I PREPARE TO BE SELF-RELIANT AND LIVE THROUGH SHORT TERM EMERGENCIES OR DISASTER EVENTS THAT DISRUPT UTILITIES or DELAY TRUCKING RE-SUPPLY CHAINS FOR WEEKS OR MAYBE MONTHS. MY PREPAREDNESS WILL ALLOW ME THE NECESSARY TIME TO SIT BACK RELAXED AND MAKE WISE DECISIONS WHILE OTHERS ARE running around with their hair on fire IN CHAOS. The recipes below are disaster event recipes using minimal ingredients from an Emergency Pantry of Long Term Stored Food Items. They are intended to be cooked or baked using a Camping Stove, Camp Stove Oven, Rocket Stove, Fireplace, Open Campfire or a BBQ Grill using Wood for the Fire because a disaster event may have left you without utilities.
Most of the recipes can be pre-pouched dry so all you have to do is add water, heat and eat. This is perfect for Back-Packers, Canoeists and RV'ers because they are light weight, inexpensive and simple to use.
